Scotswrite: everything a writer needs

May 18, 2017

The Society of Authors in Scotland, SoAiS, has created what is expected to be one of the most exciting events in the 2017 writing calendar. ScotsWrite is a three-day conference that will enable delegates to network with and hear from some of the UK’s leading authors and writers, as well as key publishers, agents and experts in a variety of related fields. Whether you’re putting pen to paper for the first time or you’re an established writer, ScotsWrite has been designed - by writers - to help you go further along your chosen path.

Irrespective of whether you’re a writer of fiction or non-fiction, a translator, children’s author, poet or writer for the media, ScotsWrite will address the challenges of breaking through creative, financial and promotional barriers.

Author Line-up

Keynote speakers include highly successful authors Joanne Harris, Jane Johnson and Joanna Penn, while talks and workshops are from experts in a variety of areas including marketing, self publishing, changing genre, technology, health and wellbeing, and ergonomics. Plus, there will be a limited number of one-to-one sessions with publishers and agents.

ScotsWrite takes place from 22- 24 September at the Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort, Nr Cumbernauld, Glasgow.
